Found this iron relic near an old building site in the woods. Based on a similar object I saw posted here a while back, I think it's a snuff spoon. What thinkest thou?

While I do not know the first thing about snuff spoons, it seems a bit long to me.
I would also think that they would be made out of something other than iron??

Well, I don't know anything about snuff spoons either, that's just my best guess.

For all I know, it could be a booger scoop.

Thanks for the input, it does seem too large for that purpose, I'm probably on the wrong track.

Whoops! Took me a long time to get back to this, kinda got sidetracked....

Thanks for all the ideas, I'm leaning towards chemist's spoon now. It's too big to fit in your ear, and it doesn't seem built heavy enough for a wood carving tool.

It has what appear to be weld spatters on it, and yesterday I found a couple of chunks of melted tin and some iron scrap that looks to have been heated and bent in the area the spoon was found, so I'm guessing it was part of a blacksmith's tool kit. They used chemicals to achieve desired effects on metal.
