I didn't do any metal detecting this past weekend... I really wanted to try and hit the $3.00 clad count based on what I did last weekend. But I opted to head due north with a friend and co-worker to the upper realms of Wisconsin in a small city called Gleason. It's truly God's country way up there and we had a blast.
I ventured out that way to help him do some scouting for the upcoming deer season. We drove up on Saturday morning and stayed 'til Sunday (yesterday) afternoon. Unfortunately, I did not bring my metal detector with me only because we stayed fairly busy. Did some hiking, some scouting... and took a bunch of photos. This area of the state is only a week or so away from the peak Fall color period. The fresh, crisp, cool air coupled with the picturesque scenery made for an amazing weekends out in the middle of nowhere.
