I got this one last night.

I was working the outside edges of a 1950's baseball field.
This place has been wild. Two big silvers and some interesting finds so far.

The Pro gave me a high 70's signal. It was about 6-7 inches deep.

The best looking flat button I've dug yet!!

It appears to be an 1808-1821 era artillery button used either by state or federal.

The quarter was a surface find tonight.

Looks like B5523, "Federal artillery button, eagle over cannon, one part flat, Rich Quality London".

Thank you for the kind words!!

It never ceases to amaze us what we can find in the most offbeat places.

That night, I was hoping for some wheat backs and maybe a silver, but this was shocking.
