Excalibur Battery Charging/storage

I don't want to over charge my battery if it is still charged after a few months with no use. Can you use a volt meter to check a excal II battery to see if a battery has kept it charge? I had it charged and left it connected for months in storage.

Old post but may help someone!

You can use a multimeter! Set the dial to 20 on the D.C. scale of the multimeter. insert the red and black probes into the pod's small holes/openings and read the meter - 11.2v needs to be charged -12.6v about 8 hrs left, 14v it's charged!
