What the heck is this? Antique pull tab??

Never seen one of these before. Looks like some type of pull tab but is made of brass or copper. Any ideas?

Not from a beer or soda can... I am familiar with the early types of tabs from collecting cans. They were always aluminum too. Maybe from some other kind of can?

I have no clue. I've never known of any type of pull tab other than aluminum.

No clue either but perhaps from an oil can?

maybe STP oil treatment or something

Looks more like a very old picture hanger maybe.

I agree with flyguy. Looks like some kind of hook , hanger or clip. I collect old cans and have never seen any kind of pulltab that resembles this thing.
