Back at one of my old school sites tonight for a short hunt and I got a banging 39-40 on the Nox, no iron grunts to indicate some rusty iron deception. I knew it was too high for a silver dollar, but thought, "hey, maybe it's TWO silver dollars!" :p No such luck, but i was pretty happy to dig this tag from my home county up - and for some reason this era was aluminum so it survived pretty well. Now to clamp it between a couple boards to flatten it.

Wow that cleaned up nicely! Would love to find something like that around here. My Peace dollar find was a solid banging 37. I always figured 39's on up where IRON, guess I'm wrong.

If I recall correctly, one of the silver shoe buckles I found was up there around 39-40. I remember seeing the edge in the dirt, my buddy thought it was a silver dollar. Very nice find, I like old license plates.
