Break out the gold chains. Last vid I just watched the guy goes over a gold chain in a baggie and says it doesn't pick the chain up and the original gold chain vid wasn't reality. But the guy is running it straight out the box giving advice:shock::lol:

Sounds like another perfect marketing ploy... these guys aren't messing around

The problem with running SMOOTH in salt water........ is it may be set up as i was told for beginners and novices so they dont have problems. It may not be quite the machine it could have been. Pre-sets programs wont get the serious hunter what he needs...... and im not so sure having the max sensitivity at 25 and having to run at least 22 gives us much fly by the pants power. Right now, id say we still dont know what this machine will do..... we need those accessories to keep this machine underwater awhile. we all know what salt water does in even a very short time. It would be nice to have an 8" coil on this one.

for a high frequency (20-40 kHz) and searching for a fine gold coil of 6-8 "will be better than 10-11"

I love it how people randomly show up and claim basically compete horse manure about being an engineer or working for whatever company. Love your scoops. But. Ya. I’m calling bull💩 when I read it. Let me guess you work at cern too...? You remind me of a pink panther character. I’m z engineer...

Stavr...... i dont disagree with those freqs. Makes me wonder ..... IF the 6" coil WILL indeed be a better choice for wet sand small gold when using MULTI freq? Dang...... another add on to my detector......you guys are killing me. Anyone get the 6" yet and do a comparison on the 6" vs the 11 for gold.

Dew

They said all pre -order's will be filled by March, i hope they don't wait till April before we start to see sponsors getting in accessories , i am sure every bit of 1500 we will have in it , oh well what's another machine if it find's us yellow :D

What do you have against someone who is making a valid point?

you can rely on my experience using 20-60kHz (ML and others including my own devices) or ask the opinion of famous Gold Prospectors ...
I used frequencies of 6,7-20-60 kHz and 15-18-30-36 kHz sure that in the range of 20-40 kHz for fine gold, coils 6-8 " (round)of the best. or 10x5" ellipse ... 8.5x5" ellipse

Optional coils are down the road. And these are smart coils so only ML and later coiltek. I didn't like the CTX coiltek for beach hunting. But you wont have anyone else be able to throw their hat in the ring since the equinox wont recognize the coil without a chip in it from ML.

to deceive the equinox? :)
Well, if you think that these protections are reliable ... then they are made for the philistine :), for a specialist it's 5 minutes to 2 days of work ... and not equinox, but more complex multi-level defense systems in both iPhone and MacBook, Samsung, and other gadgets.
it all depends on the price of solving the problem :D

All Minelab coils have a pc chip in the coil that talks to the controls. As long as the coil has a chip that can communicate with the controls with the correct frequencies they will work.

Treasure Hunter 1

Thank's for clearing this up, there will always be someone out their that claims a new machine, new technology , doesn't work that doesn't know squat , all BS , any new's on when the accessories will hit all dealer's ?

Yes but any chance someone say Detech could get sued for making one for sale? The CTX still needs more coil options and there aren't any but coiltek

I do not think that ML applied crypting the flow with a floating key to communicate with the coil :)
usually for cracking all the brand's indentifiers, there is enough knowledge in the electronics of the required level that records the oscillograph, + the controller's peak for a couple of dollars with a recorded identification procedure.
there is no problem to crack the protection of brand compatibility.
there is a problem of making a good coil under special tasks for acceptable money. this is nobody's doing ...

My chip didn't work in the coiltek 14x9 for the CTX3030, lucky i got a refund, sent it back within 30 days, your wright about coil option's looks like the Equinox will be the same coils, except the 15 vs 17

Yeah im still not sure anyone on here understands Minelabs chip? If that was the case id imagine wed have seen several CTX coils not from minelab. Anyone got an answer not a guess? If its just a frequency chip seems like it would be simple. I do know the CTX quit recognizing its own coils on several occasions:shock:

lol

Yep , my CTX 3030 would not recognize the 14x9 coil, never had a problem with the ML coil's, it's a shame they didn't make a nicer coil for water hunter's, as the 17 won't hold up in the water, i thought the coiltek 14x9 was the antidote , but was a huge disappointment. :(

No, just as long as they use the proper chip to talk to controls, NEL was making coils for Sovereign and Excal.
