Hit up a local park and started griding. About 2 hours in hit a spot that gave up a few old wheats. That got my attention and turned up my sensitivity a little and got lucky on a deep barber dime. Also found the smallest piece of sterling ever. Looks like a pin clasp.

Nice finds...congrats on the silver!!!

General Lee was a Dodge Charger not a Challenger.:?::?:

A local Chrysler LeBaron owner turned his car into a miniature General Lee. And what did he have painted on the rear??... "General LeeBaron":laughing:.
Haven't seen it for some time. Sure wish i had taken pictures of it

I also sure wish that a dime-a-dozen car had been used in the show...way too many beautiful (and hard to find) Chargers were destroyed in making the series.

In the service (20 yr Army) we called the pin backs "dammits" because that's what you would say when you dropped them while trying to put them on. The issue ones were brass but many, myself included, bought the sterling ones because the brass would corrode and leave green rings on the back of the material and the sterling ones did not. I have a bunch of them on the ribbons from my Dress Greens and my branch insignia in a dresser drawer.

btw: Nice finds
