We have an old overgrown golf course (went from circa 1930-41) by us. The waterhazard is still visible along with two old pumps that supplied water to it.

Unfortunately it's now part of the Indiana Dunes Nat'l Lakeshore, so off-limits to detecting. :no:

.. this past October 31st... someone actually put red balloons on strings at each storm drain in our neighborhood... my wife actually asked what it meant... :lol:

They seemed to have promoted that film enough it was fairly hard not to hear about it back then :lol:

yeh she actually thought it was a nice gesture to keep young trick or treaters away from the storm drains... :lol:

Yeah I love looking around old trees too but I hate the roots! Seems like there’s always a good signal under a huge root that sometimes I just have to give up on.

Yep, that is exactly what I would expect to find in there, and why I would not go trying to find it.
