There's another new show on called "Hoarders" where people fill their homes with junk.

Why not combine the Hoarders with the Pawn Stars and really grow the business?

Pickers and pawn stars are some of my favorite, antique road show,history dectectives.
The trouble with pawn stars is the scripting. They bought a Who contract in the last one that I thought everyone knew came in an album.
I have a hard time believing even the son wouldnt have called in an expert before paying 200 bucks for it.
I have seen that contract and it is an obvious copy, no type imprints,cheap paper. It is an obvious copy and they supposedly bought it.
So how much else is not real and do they actually even buy the things they supposedly buy on the show.
I need reality in my TV diet. :lol:

I like Pawn Stars even though that Chumlee fella isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. I also like the show American Pickers.

A lot of it's set-up. The dialog between the family members and Chumlee is very contrived. And they do know what that person is bringing in before hand. It's still a fun show to watch. American Pickers is much more genuine. I'd love to have that job.

Pawn Stars is pretty good. I like Amercan Pickers more, but neither show really belongs on History Channel. On Memorial Day, I could't believe the best they could come up with was a Pawn Stars marathon. They are both interesting shows, but are of marginal historical value. Discovery Channel would be a better home for them and the logging shows. I guess I'm a history purist.
