Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Help

My mother-in-law is in a nursing home in Rehoboth and we are heading that way either this coming Saturday or next to take her out to a late lunch, let my wife visit for a while, etc. I'll have about 3 hours while my wife is visiting to hit the beaches there. Will have the dogs with me in the van so I'm looking for the following: 1) A beach where I can take the dogs for a little while 2) A beach close enough to parking that I can check on the van every 20-30 minutes 3) A beach that isn't hunted out this time of year where I might actually find something. (Not asking for a lot am I?) Anyone know the area well enough to help? Anyone want to join me? Probably looking at 10:30 to 1:30, but won't know for sure until Thursday night which Saturday I'll be heading that way.

This time of the year dogs are allowed on Rehoboth beaches on a leash, also you must clean up after them, hope you can Metal detect carry a scoop and two dogs at the same time GOOD LUCK http://www.rehoboth.com/community/rehoboth-beach-faq.html

Thanks, nope the dogs aren't going detecting, just want to be able to walk them on the beach for a bit first.

Follow the main road in and it will take you right to the beach and parking is available just before the boardwalk

Tench,

Do you get down there often?

I am in Wilmington quite a bit but usually only hunt it on vacation in July.

I would like to get to Coin or Dewey.

Rehoboth has been OK for me in prime time. Never tried it off season.

I run dry/ wet/ water at low tide.

I only go a few times a year normally, I live in PA, But work in Wilmington DE
