I went yesterday for an after work hunt with a buddy to hit a beach that gave me 3 golds related to erosion caused by the King Tides last month. When we arrived, I noticed that these tides did not overflow and cause the erosion that I saw last month. 
Hunted for 3 hours and I thought I was going to skunk out until I hit on the silver ring that seemed a recent drop a few yards from the shore. The earlier crucifix that I thought might be silver had "pewter" written on the back after some sand cleaning. 
Oh well, at least I got out after work and had a lovely afternoon!
