Got a permission unknown date . The original house is log, so I'm guessing colonial. Especially for my area. The owner says it was hunted before. I figure why not, they never get it all. The yard is church mouse quiet for the most part. Got only a few signals worth digging. About a buck in clad and these two beauties. 1908 Taft presidential campaign watch fob, and a 1800 draped bust half cent. Its never hunted out. Good luck and good hunting.

Those two finds are great reasons to go over hunted before sites. I also have had pretty decent luck on hunting previous hunted locations. Congrats! Trapper

Thanks everybody. Don't get me wrong, the draped bust half is awesome. My favorite find though is the Taft fob. I love pieces of history like that. Plus it's my third presidential piece.

Thats why i like winter and fall hunting. it opens area not accessible in the summer time do to full foliage. I return t my spots time and time again and on occasion i get rewarded with something good.
