Hello everyone. I hope you're doing well. I thought I would just share a few picture of what I've found over the past 3 years that I've been metal detecting. I metal detect Southern/Central Virginia and have been enjoying it more and more by the year. I'm 17 and have many years of detecting and preserving history ahead of me. The story of the house that I go to is that it has a Grave on it that says "A O Parker D.I. Jan 19, 1840". MY grandfather and I believe that the house was build early 1800's, but it could be earlier then that because his parents also lived in the same area as A O Parker. The only thing that stands on the house is the foundation that it was built on, and the chimney that still stands. If only that chimney could talk! I would love to hear the stories it has. Now what I have found around this house is pretty cool. I've found a pocket watch (just the face is missing and the pieces that go inside), found a pocket watch fob 6" next to that that says "Abraham Fur Co. St. Louis Missouri". Can't find any info on that company. If anyone knows about it let me know please I'd love to learn more about this company. I found a Model T chrome Hub Cap. I found a spoon which is from 1913 (Rogers Nickel Silver) and the General Service Eagle Button is from the Early 1900's (1902-1920). Lots of farm equipment like plow points and mule shoes. I hope everyone found this interesting and best of luck to you when you're out detecting!

FOUND THIS - This is rare bronze watch fob was made for the Abraham Fur Co. in St. Louis, Mo. Advertising watch fobs for fur companies are very rare and this one is in great condition as you can see in the photos. The fox has been finely detailed in the center of the triangular shaped fob. This would be great worn as a necklace too. It dates from around 1895 to 1915. It measures 1 3/4" tall by 1 1/2" wide.-- Seen ads to buy furs for this company on ebay too. a dress 211 n. main st saint Louis mo. also abraham bld st Louis.

Yes it is. Same exact color and same exact design. I didn’t take a picture of my watch fob. The fob is actually with my grandfather right now because I go to his house when I metal detect. I’ll take a picture of it, but I can guarantee you that that’s what it looks like.

Mine isn’t made of bronze. My is more of a silver color. I know they made a silver fob, but mine isn’t silver because it doesn’t have the sterling mark on the back top part of the fob. Here’s a picture of it. It’s not the one I found but it’s true exact same one.
