Took the kids to an Easter egg hunt today and afterward decided to run by a park that I know is old dirt. I’ve searched this park a few times before and found a silver Rosie and a few wheats. Got a good 80’s signal and found this guy about two inches down. I’m sure dozens of folks have detected right over that spot. Kind of amazing that it was still there. Anyway, reason I’m posting is because this is my first Mercury and I was pretty excited.

J&J - It’s worn for sure. I can’t even read the mint mark. Proud nonetheless.

32 Silver’s already in 2019? Wow that’s pretty amazing by the way.

Congrats on your first Merc. She is a beauty, worn but still standing tall. My first Merc, a 42 and I remember right where I dug it. Now start thinking Barber dime. Good luck . HH Mark

Thanks all! I should have said that this is my oldest coin to date as well! Not old compared to what y’all have found but I’m still a baby detectorist. :crybaby:

She's just like another lady....you never forget your first. Congrats

Excellent find! I've been metal detecting for a year and still looking for my first silver.
