I found this near the location I found my 1915 S Buffalo nickel. Winchester used this head stamp from 1901-1920.

Post your head stamps and let us know the dates 9C069795-9C85-4566-BD70-36D47B3BA6C6.jpeg

A nice clean one - Don't see too many 10 gauge. I don't hunt but is that gauge even used anymore?

I find these around here a lot....

Here are a few of my shotshell headstamp finds that seem to be less common in my area:

Peters Referee No 16 dates to about 1899-1911

P.C.C. League No 12 (Peters Cartridge Company) dates to around 1896-1902

Club No 12 headstamp is a curious one - it seems old, but I've yet to find any good information on it other than a single mention on the Cartridge Corner shotshell page under "More US Headstamps" which implies that "Club" was the manufacturer. Until this thread, I had put this headstamp aside and forgotten about it, but now I'll go ahead and email the guy at Cartridge Corner and see if he knows more.

The last is one of my favorites despite its condition, just because it's a more unusual one: the Robin Hood 12 gauge marked R.H.P. Co across the bottom dates to before 1906, when the Robin Hood Powder Company changed it's name to Robin Hood Ammunition Company instead.

Here are a few of the better looking ones I've found. I don't recall the dates, but they are old.

Good thread and I need to go through and clean up the older shotgun head I have found. I do throw away any plastic shells but do keep all the heads there were paper cartridge (only brass head remains). I have a 3 lb coffee can full of these 'older' heads.
