Model C mystery piece

Any ideas? It’s heavy (guessing brass). Found on lot with activity back to 1910. Says Model C at top. Much appreciated.

It’s apparently the tail weight of a reproducer from an old Edison phonograph. That’s the part that has a needle and connects to the horn that the sound comes out of.

Yep, that's part of an Edison cylinder player reproducer. The model C played 2-minute cylinders. It dates around 1900. I have a 1890's Edison with a model C reproducer on it. Later letter models played four-minute cylinders. Very neat find!
 
Awesome thanks for the additional info. Found on a lot that had activity beginning in 1910
