Hi Guys,

I am new to this world...

I just bought my first Metal Detector. It is a Whites Prizm 5. I was told I got it for a "STEAL" I only paid $240 bucks for it. It's brand new, and was in box. I also got a free cap for the coil. I checked online this machine looks like it goes for 550 dollars, so i am happy about that.

Anyways...

does anyone know where i can find some relics or cool old stuff. anything old really interests me, especially if i am the one who can pry it from the earth.

Any cool places where i can use this machine, and what should i discriminate?

Thanks in advance guys, looking forward to this new hobby.

Adam

ps, so far i have found some older pocket change. (Zuma Beach 6am(before beach comb nazis), Balboa Park, Gaviota Park, my dads yard/granada hills) Oldest coin is a wheat penny D from 1958. hahaha not so old. checked online at most its worth 3 cents. not bad for the 2nd day. LOL
