New batteries from Sanyo's 'Think Gaia' corporation are set to transform our metal detecting habits (unless you use PP3's).
NiMI's that are sold charged and hold their charge much better. 1000 recharge cycles.
More expensive but similar performance to alkalines with the cost and environmental benefits of rechargables.
There's a dedicated charger but they claim a normal charger will work. If you don't have to buy a new charger, like you had to with rechargable alkalines, they could be on to a winner.
