I knew I remembered seeing a similar item. I don’t know for sure but it could be a mirror handle. I found it close to the surface in a park near the river that used to be the site of an old mill.

Then again maybe it is a Michigan thing?

Hair Brush handle, makes sense. Women, no matter what era, always have a hairbrush with them!

Thanks guys, I think the mirror handle make's a lot of sense, but I sure wish it was a Civil war butter knife scabbard......:laughing:
