This morning I went out for a spin for only about a hour, tide was wrong, but I was bored. Anyhow, as expected, I did not find much, 200 yen and about 15 pull tabs, but I did find a 1964 silver quarter, that someone spot welded a clasp for a chain on the top! When I first saw the claps, I thought it had to be a awesome coin to have put it on a chain, I don't know why anyone would wear a 64 quarter.

Got a 1926 silver threepence hanging around my neck at the moment. Don't know why, but I found it (not detected) with a hole all ready in it so I put it on a chain and there it stays.

Odd indeed, maybe someone was sad it was the last year for silver coins..... but it just may be someone elses perspective.... I had a friend once ask a Japanese technician (working over in the states) if he drove a foreign car.... his reply was yes, a Chevy! So, what may be odd for us may not be for others.... they might really like the design.
