1831 Capped Bust Half Dollar!!!

I had the chance to get out today. A friend and I decided to go inland some -as we usually hunt only coastal fields. The walk was about one mile from the truck to an old house that dates back to the 1800's. My first hit was a 88 on the AT Pro. Started digging and out pops this 1831 half dollar! My oldest largest silver coin to this date. Second dig about 3 feet from this find was the musket ball!! A few other finds from today included two buttons and some type of 25 cent token. I'm pumped!!! :cool:

You need to send Garrett a pic of that coin,you'll definitely win the find of the month prize,and make it in the magazine.. Congrats on that beauty..Folks need to pay close attention to this thread,the AT PRo is a legend,and definitely won't ever be obsolete.:laughing:

Thanks for the recommendation. I submitted the pics-hopefully I'll hear from them soon. A couple of years ago -they published a 1749 King George of mine!
