Hey all, can anyone tell me the date and maker of this old lock? I found it at the oldest house site in my home town. Thanks.

You might try a google image search for "antique" or "vintage" padlock, and look for one shaped like that. I did that for an old padlock and was able to match mine with a photo.

The only “home plate” body shape that I could find in padlocks belonged to Wyeth Hardware and Manufacturing Company.

The shape was unique in that it was the design of their logo.

E. T. Fraim Lock Company actually made the locks for Wyeth Hardware.

I could not find an image of a Wyeth lock with a round hasp like yours, all had flat hasps as shown in my attached image. Hopefully, this can give you a direction for additional searching, more than I was willing to do.
