Depends. The Prizm is a smoother operating detector and doesn't false like the 3300 does. There are more adjustments you are able to use on the 3300. quality is better on the Prizm . The rest is a wash.

In my opinion there is no comparison, the Prizm wins hands down- for quality,looks,use/etc. The 3300 mite go alittle deeper. The Prizm isn't as "noisey" as the 3300. The pinpointing ability of the Prizm is amazing. I really enjoy my Prizm more each time I use it. Steve.

When you compare price, if you can get the 3300 for $112, then I think there is no comparison. If the Prizm pinpoints better than the 3300 I would like to see that, because I love the pinpointing on my 3300.
