So detecting my hillside I dug up this “bullet” at about 4”. The problem is, it’s not a bullet lol. Maybe an old dummy round or snap cap?

Here’s some pics compared with a 9mm. Btw the fake bullet is brass and has no markings at all. any ideas on what it is or how old? Keep in mind I’ve found items dating back from 1876 to yesterday lol

I’m being told it’s a bullet to a toy gun from the 60s... the pieces do not separate and there’s a deep primer

Lots of toy bullets out there. Many were wood or plastic; some were metal. It seems most didn't have a primer, so you got a higher quality one.

That’s a great picture. I look at this find (even if it’s a toy) as an awesome treasure.

Heck yeah! That's pretty cool.. Memories..... I used to play with an old toy gun set at my Grandparents' home that once belonged to my dad. Probably from the early 60's. It had the pistol belt with the cartridge holders made of leather. And a bunch of toy rounds just like those that went in the belt.
