well my wife and i will be going to wyoming this summer to visit family for 3 weeks. so we figured we would take our md's and check out the ghost towns and some of the old gold mining areas. thanks for the help. i have heard good things about the tdi.
 
Gold bug... not the new one. Its 19 kHz the older ones are like 72 kHz and very sensitive. Its light weight and has the coils needed for the J O B.
 
The Tesoro Lobo is a great gold detector and one of the preferred models. The TDI is much better in my opinion but you should have some experience before going there.
