I hit a small city park last Saturday and today. The first photo shows the clad I got last Saturday. Nothing special in $1.16 of clad and zincs except for the small coin spill I found. I tried retrieving photos from my phone but was unable to do so. I found three quarters stacked together, a dime and two zincs in the same hole. The second photo shows what I found today, two dimes, a nickel, a quarter, a St. Louis zoo token and a 1944 Merc. I have a photo on my phone showing the edge of the Merc in the hole but I am not able to get it onto my computer. As soon as I saw the shiny edge I knew I had my first silver coin. The zoo token I think is one of those made from a penny.

Silver

Way to go finding your first silver, and it's a Mercury too. I love seeing silver in the hole. Today I got a silver dime too, a 1957 Rosy. It took me 5 hours to find my silver, and I dug 106 good targets, plus some junk Now that you got the skunk off, you will be finding more silver. Good luck.
HH everyone

Awesome! Good job. I have yet to find my first. But I will soon. Good luck on future hunts and HH

Congrats on on your first Silver. Hit those private yards and you'll find some more.

Nice Merc. I had one of those Saint Louis tokens but I don't think the one I had would had been that old.

Congrats on your first silver, hopefully there will be many more to follow!!

Congrats! You'll always remember your first. A pressed penny is always cool to find, too.
