My son has been doing pretty well of late. Included in this post are a couple more of his finds.

I'm trying to get back in the game a little but as I started this post he just texted me with a pict of a nice 1919 SLQ. Oh boy ! Guess I'm just not busy enough !

First, his finds........

A cool tootsie car (later model w/plastic). Didn't know they made them like that.

An aluminum token w/Abrham Lincoln on it. Hard to clean aluminum and definately needs a scrub.

A cool colonial button. Taken from a cool place. More on that later.

His second 2 cent piece in as many wks.

Next, my efforts ..........

A couple skeleton keys.

My first intact crotal bell.

An 183? large cent.

Another lg.copper, anyone's guess. If you think you can ID it, I'd be glad for the assist.

Finally,

A King William farthing. Date tough on that one as well. :( Any sharp eyes ?)

Hopefully I can get back out there soon. Don't want the end of the yr. finds photo too lopsided.

DANG! You two are doing great! Awesome finds there. Even the old Skeleton keys are getting pretty sought after. Congrats!

Incredible finds right there!
I'm guessing the William III Farthing is 1695-1700

Thanks Payloadjim,

For some reason, both skeleton keys & crotal bells seem to me to be difficult to find.

Take Care,

Thanks matmit,

Close range on your guess. Looked up dates & you're definately not far off.

My eyes aren't what they used to be. My son says it looks like 1699. I sometimes see a 2 as the last digit. might never know, but we like getting lucky with the oldies.

Take Care & GL,

C

Hey matmit,

If you dug the one in the photo...... Congrats !!
Don't know how I could have missed it, but it's incredible.
We seldom find anything near that quality.

Again, Thanx,

C

Oh no way!
My oldest coin is the 1851 Trime.
Not counting that beautiful little 1500's silver I found with Karel last year.
It's just a picture I found online:lol:

Hey matmit,

Too bad on the KW, was hoping it was yours.

I'd love a trime. That's one coin that, so far, we've not been able to find.

1500's silver..... wow ! :wow: That's great !

HH,

The last number for the date on the large cent looks like a 4 to me.

Hey Cody !

I believe you're right. As I previously mentioned, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Good luck out there strolling in NH. We've got some great stuff in the ground.

Take Care & HH,

C
