I had to deal with that yesterday. I was trudging through snow with the MXT and the coil got so heavy. I hunted for maybe 1.5 hours before I got sick of it. I lost about 5 inches of depth but still managed to squeeze in $2 in clad or so. Set your detector to max sens. and go at it. You won't find any deep goodies though unless you have a giant 15" coil or something. Also you get wet and it just sucks.

It doesn't really pay the risk to break the shaft or the coil,
let's better wait for the snow to melt :roll:
