I was hunting a few days back and found this in a field. Its lead , a little smaller than a dime, and has initials on it . I think I have an idea to what it is. I have seen other threads where people have mentioned a bailing seal. Not sure though , kind of interesting. If this a seal does anybody know how old it is or what intials stand for. Thanks HH

Its a seal alright but youll have to do some research as to the company.Doesnt mean anything to me over here.Doesnt look old but thats by my terms.I love finding them esp.the Dutch and Russian ones.

Looks like yours may be a weight.
Found this (pretty sure that's what you have):

Winfield [b, c]
R.W.Winfield
Founded in 1829, at Cambridge Street, Birmingham. They specialised in decorative brass objects, particularly brass bedsteads. Weights known to bear their name are rare coin-weights dated 1842 [W2280a, b; W2281b], and brass (cased) bell-weights bearing the 'R W W & Co' legend. The cased weights are iron (rather than the usual lead) cased with brass, a process patented c.1865.
