Having a blast with the family touring the coast, seeing ancient sites,and visiting beaches. We chartered a boat for the Amalfi coast and every beach and dive/snorkel spot was a treasure trove waiting to be harvested. Today marks our twentieth beach. Gold on men and women, coins used everwhere.... 1 Euro for a towel, a shower, and parking..... Heck we've found more than 20 euro just walking on sidewalks. It's been an amazing time.my advice for anyone that wants to travel is to bring your equipment with you!

Amazing looking places, i bet you could even just eyeball for stuff with a mask and a snorkel if you can not detect...
 
wowee zowee, we went to Sicily with my wife's family to visit some of her relatives 4 years ago, but I did not take a detector :no:
Their beaches were nowhere near as nice as that though.
 
David, David, David! Did you not learn anything from my posts last summer wishing I had my metal detector in Spain? :p Well, I'm here on vacation and I have a metal detector with me at Alcatraz! :lol:

Palermo and Enice beaches in Sicily were off the charts nice! Crystal clear water, no rocks or sea weed, and oddly there weren't fish.
 
Where in Spain? I am headed there next year and tried to research detecting. I thought anything in the water was a no no. I also remember reading that you need an import license for a detector.

Someone who lives there said she sees a few detectorists early in the AM and they are always on the beach. I was going to bring it anyway because the likelihood of it being an issue is pretty small I would think.

I ALWAYS bring my stuff with me...… I pack around a around the machine when I fly...…….. behind my seat when I drive. Oh ya...…….. never leave home without it!!!
