old bullet i.d.

wondering if anyone knew the age on this bullet... i measured it at around a .57 caliber...im thinking somewhere in the 1800s
 
With the smooth sides and the concave base, my guess would be a Pritchett bullet issued for use in imported British Enfields during the Civil War. Would likely have been paper patched. The more common minie bullets issued for our Springfields had the exterior scraping grooves that are so familiar.
 
nice find indeed.. hit that area hard.. many more great finds may be waiting for you there..........
