I bought a three pack of tip protectors off fleabay the better part of a year ago because the tip was starting to wear through on my carrot. Might have been from Skippy, I don't know. A cheap fix that lasts, I recommend them highly. :waytogo:

I made a YouTube vid of myself doing this. Not sure what brand Harbor Freight sells, but I always use PlastiDip. If you use enough coats it won't peel off. Mine always lasts a whole detecting season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbVfF6ZlICU&t=50s

Thanks. I'm guessing this would also waterproof a cheaper pinpointer?? :?:
