Any thought on these? Circa 1850-1880? Revolver cartridge or rifle? Found near Manassas, va but not in known battle field. Apparently an old wagon road was in woods.

Clean them up a tad, it looks like a copper jacket over lead. Definitely a modern bullet.

You don't need to be in a battle field to find CW relics. WW army's traveled and camped over large areas. Remember some northern army fought all the way to MS and down through GA. Yes they used the trains, but trains don't go everywhere that is why soldiers are taught to march and camp.
