Well, last year it was my field of dreams where I was finding rings, crota bells, and musket balls that were 350 to 400 years old. Now I have found a school of dreams.
In 45 minutes I found $5.50 cents and a 14 k locket.
17 quarters, 10 dimes, 6 nickels, 3 pennies, and a scout scarf holder.
Also a 14k heart shaped locket and another gold colored item with no markings.
I only hunted a very small area. Lots of area to hunt when it cools down a bit. Also the grassy area was very dry and hard and most items were 4 or more inches. Will wait until it rains to soften up the ground.
I think it is safe to say this school has never been hit otherwise I wouldn’t have been finding quarters every 2 feet.

I would say anything over 5 bucks in clad per hour is very hot ground .
To me short hunts are what I live for . Just getting the itch to dig scratched is my goal but that much action is icing on the cake and hard to find .
With a little luck the location is old enough that the activity started before 1964.
Time will tell .
