Well,just so happen that i was hunting around hunting grounds of the ''Kawankawa" indians on the Texas coast ,spotted this tool and not for sure what it is:?:I was told it is a skining tool, from the the looks it could be that or a broken hachett head,or arrow flint tool.It fits the hand just right for cutting with.Take a guess.james

I call those kinds of blades, knives. Simply because they are too big for an arrowhead and not pointy enough for a spear point. I once found a D shaped blade that was 3 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, sharp all around. Definitely a slicing blade, especially that thin. Maybe a scraper.
 
Looks like a hide scraper. Probably also used for other general utility functions.
