Monday evening I spent a few hours at a park I hunted once before that I had only found clad at so I wasn't expecting the first find of the night to be the 44 merc so I wasn't as careful with my digger as I should have been, hence the scratch. I continued to hunt the general area where I found the merc and uncovered 2 wheats and the 1947 nickel.
Tonight I went to my favorite park that I've hunted numerous times, yet I continue to pull some good finds from the same areas I've hit before. I found the sterling locket first and then the 1943 merc nearby. Then I found a wheat and the ring in the grassy area in front of the tot lot. The ring isn't marked, but rang up like silver and sure looks like silver. It also passed the magnet test. Enjoy the pics and happy hunting!
