Went out this morning to a city beach I have not been to before. Hunted for about three hours and ended up with $6.91 in clad, a 1917 wheat, a cool old wood handle pocket knife. Best find of the day was the 10K kids ring with some kind of purple stone. I will definately be back as there is a lot more water to cover and I didn't even touch the dry sand.

Congrats on the ring Steve, :) I see you have some quality trash there ;) That battery will be 1 of many you find... I usually get at least 3 everytime out :(

This is only the second battery I have found but I am sure there are plenty of them out there unfortunately.

nice finds, yep lots of batteries in the water. I have a few that I have found in the dry sand that were still good. I have a NiMH 2500 that I found with a full charge..
