Well....they all can't be gold:laughing::laughing:

I have a couple of days vacation after Christmas, so I thought I would give one of my favorite beaches a whirl. We had some decent swells yesterday, so I could definitely seem some sand had moved.

When I kicked the sand pile and saw a big fat goldie, I thought for sure I had a good one. However, once I picked it up, I knew that some was not right....just not enough weight. Sure enough, a big fat 18k ring....a big fat 18k gold plated crapola ring that is.:roll::roll: The only "good" ring was a small .925er.

Too bad on the disappointment but that was still a good haul.

Ooh, I hate when that happens. Good clad count though Jeff. I checked out several beaches yesterday and all had cuts from this week's surf.

with conditions the way they are herr in southern, southern CA, I'd be happy for a quarter haul like that. Reminds me of 2 yrs ago when you were guaranteed to at least pull 5 bucks in clad. Lately its pathetic and discouraging to even get out.
