Old toy car

Found part of a toy car tonight. My husband said it seemed pretty old. Wish I had paid more attention to where I found it maybe could find the rest of it. It was getting dark. I just love how we are getting a wee little bit more daylight in the evening, though.

Sorry not much to go on. Anyone know what year or model of a toy car this is?

Well done on the ID, Longhair! And it’s always a blast from the past everytime one of these small Tootsie Toy cars gets posted - seems like I had at least one of each variety that popped up on the forum lately :grin:

Thank you Longhair! Didn't really think there was enough of it left for an ID. Your pic looks identical, it even had the trailer hitch that is shown, but it broke off when I was cleaning it. Thanks!

Longhair is correct. It's late 1960s or early 70s vintage.
