Not that they are related but the brass piece was two feet from this round ball.

Hits are very few and far between in this old farm field.

It's from a bath tub drain the type where you lift the lever it is missing the top tab with the hole that the rod hooks to

Looks like its out of a check valve. Probably out of a cistern pump foot valve.

Looks like a bung cap remover for a 55gal drum

If you look at the top picture, the center ring is machined to a taper to fit into a seat in the valve. The bottom prongs keep the plug straight so it doesn't get slanted and not seal and the top has machined flats at the bottom where a spring would seat to assist the plug to seat.
