But at least the boxes were easier to haul.
In last weeks posting, KT was asked how many tons of coins he had hauled over the years....so KT did some basic calculations....5 boxes weigh in at 120 pounds X 52 weeks in a year X 7 years = 43,680 pounds....over 20 tons! KT's old folding 2 wheel dolly finally wore out, so on Wednesday, Prince John and His Majesty went to Office Depot and purchased a more substantial dolly...rated at 220 pounds instead of 150 pounds. It should last KT many more years of coin hauling. BTW, KT figures he handles (lifts or moves) these coins at least 7 times once in the Castle and then when dumped at the Royal Bank, so KT does get his workout every week!
Now to this week's CRH....In the 5 boxes, there were only 16 NIFCs and 2 oddities. Of those 16, 13 were keepers and KT did finish the 1st roll of the year....2002, so no need for anymore of them...did get another 2018, so am up to 3 of them now. There is one Vietnam War sticker Ken (see photo) and that same hand painted Ken portrait half. KT is tossing it back, but after marking the reverse with KT and adding a black crown on the portrait for quick recognition should it come KT's way again!
So to repeat the recap, no silver, no proofs, no 87 Kens, only 13 NIFC keepers and the Vietnam War sticker Ken kept.
It was a flat finish for a good month! Looking forward to February CRHing!
