Greetings fellow detectorist's ! :D

I have the tesoro multi-color catalog, and their MDI Magazine (Metal Detector Information).

Please advise if you know what is meant by the following abbreviation
and suffix used in these publications.

#1...In some of the catalog "Features" windows I see the abbreviation VCO.
What does this stand for ? (Typical usage : VCO All-Metal Mode)

#2...In the MDI magazine, on page 34, there is a comparison chart of the
different metal detector models and features, etc..

At the bottom of the chart "Searchcoil Size" is given and some of the
sizes have the suffix -C. For example: 9x8"-C.
I don't see the -C represented in the legend at the bottom of the
page. Anyone know what it means ?

BTW, my first and only metal detector so far is the Garrett Ace250. I will be
keeping the Ace, but plan to buy the Tesoro Vaquero in the future, as soon as funds are accumulated.

Thanks in advance for your help everybody ;) .

C means - Concentric Coil
VCO means - Voltage Controlled Oscillator

The Tesoro Vaquero is a great machine. Steve.

Thanks for the info. Steve ! :D

Now then, I know what concentric versus eccentric means, but looking again at the bottom of the chart on page 34 of the Tesoro MDI magazine and under the Searchcoil legend, I see the suffix RC , which means "Round Concentric Searchcoil". So my next question is "What's the difference between a suffix C Concentric Coil and a suffix RC Round Concentric Searchcoil ?"
