An average year for me since I went back to work full time and only got out on weekends at most. Here's my totals so far this year:

Silver Items - 19
Plat Items - 6
Gold items - 12
Clad total $530 so far about half my usual for a year's worth

Ring Returns - 2: One Gold with a large ruby to MA and one Plat with diamonds to Tokyo

There's still a week left and I'm gonna make the most of it since I'm OFF!

Well, I didn't get out this year much either.....but I met two people diagnosed with stage IV cancer. Sorry to be dramatic but reality is that even if we had a lousy year, we are still promised another year. Think about it and be grateful..... For us, there is always next year. =)

So this is my treasure haul for 2017. 2 less gold rings but more weight and a nice 14k white gold engagement ring with significant ice also a 13.58g gold band for a big man. In addition $127 in clad, A good year! Wishing everyone a happy healthy and prosperous new year. Joe

2017 – Hike & Hurricane Impact

I had 66 hunts this year. I missed a productive 6 weeks of the summer when I was off on my hike and for 2 months after Hurricane Irma conditions were horrible. During this time, I also had some personal family issues that impacted me greatly. My clad total was $232.54 I had 12 gold items and 2 silvers that had gold accents so I’m going to count them as 1 gold. 13 total gold for the year at 69 grams of 14K and above. I had my 1st water buff and Masonic ring and the very nice Skagen watch also in the last month. Not a bad year and I’m looking forward to a more productive 2018.
