Hey all, I got my dads classic III here and the sens/on-off potentiometer just spins and does not function. Has anyone here replaced one of these before? And if so any idea on where to get a replacement?

Is there a set screw in the knob and if so is it tight. I know that most Tesoro knobs use a 1.5mm allen wrench for the set screws in the knobs.

I pulled the switch out and the insides of it are all messed up. It says B100k on it and from what I can tell its a 100ohm potentiometer with a on off switch built in. It has the normal 3 leads then another 2 behind that. The first 3 must be the sensitivity and the back 2 the power switch.

I bet that you could get a new switch from White's.

Ya I may need to look in to that. I found replacement switches online but some are logarithmic and others are liner curves???? It may as well be in a different language trying to figure out wich style is the right one!

Hey CC,
you wrote B100k, means it is a linear 100kΩ poti; and yes, the two wires leading to the pcb connecter P3, are the ones for the power switch.

Think this will do it for you...--> http://www.futurlec.com/Potentiometers/POT100KBSWITCH.shtml or http://www.surplusgizmos.com/100k-OHM-Potentiometer-wSwitch_p_2402.html

The one in the first post is it! I've searched high and low and could not find one in that style. The ones in the second post I don't think will fit with the switch terminals off the back of it and it has a different shaft. Thanks man!
