Garrett "Freedom 2" info...

This detector kinda fell in my lap. How old is this thing??? Does anyone still use one? It came with an extra coil. Looks like an older "sniper" coil. "Deepseeker" white in color.

Looking for an info. I turned it on and it works. Speaker is not too loud. Maybe the batteries are low???

I don't know anything about the machine, but google thinks they were first made around 1984 or so.

Anyone interested in this. It seems to work but was thinking it would look great in ANY Garrett user's mancave!

I guess you didn't get my pm. I have 3 old Garrett's and was interested for the right price.. The audio should be loud, so it sounds like it got wet (speaker). That happened to my old Freedom III. I wanted one when they first came out, but was financially unable. HE HE! I just remembered. The neighbor across the street gave me a Garrett BFO discriminator when her husband passed.I guess I have 4 old Garrett's. :roll:
