On vacation down south this week, finally able to get to the beach this morning for some dry sand scavenging with the Compadre. Just went from lifeguard tower to tower....Despite chanting for gold, didn’t turn any up.

Got a 1962 silver Roosevelt. $8.59 in change...

My 10 year old found a $10 bill in the sand later on!

I will try and get back out tomorrow to see what I can turn up!

My first silver coin for the year comes from the beach! Maybe next year I’ll have a wet salt capable machine.

It's a sad day when your 10 year old does better than you without a detector! :lol: But still that was a very good clad haul with a nice Rosie!

:lol: well, depending on the grade of this silver dime, we may have come close to being even... right? :lol:

Got a few Felix cents even!!! Maybe tomorrow I’ll nab some teeph :lol:

Thanks man, the silver dime came early in a coin spill with clad, so I got lucky there! Walking distance sounds like a dream! I’m going to get on my bike and ride down to the beach here soon, finding time to hunt is the hardest part for me, heading home tomorrow!
