Nice herringbone necklace hallmarked 14k that does not contain even one tenth of a gram of gold.

Ring I found yesterday that is Magnetic, appears to be stainless steel. Marked 18k that is 100% junk.

If it were not for bad luck finding good stuff I would have no luck at all.

That’s a bummer for sure, but beats whoever may have paid the full price for either :shock:

So far I’ve only found one fake 925 marked piece...
 
Those are some real heartbreakers George. The scammers who marked that ring were really greedy. Ten or fourteen karat weren't enough; they had go big. :mad:
 
You have no idea! I gave up on "deals" when I buy gems, chains and metals for jewelry because of the fakes. Heck, I've got the stamps to mark carat/content sitting on my bench. They won't say "no" if someone holds them up against a different metal.
