Completely stumped by these finds

They're for slate roofs and also were used on old asbestos tile siding.

I think those are old slate roofing nails.

Absolutely, My inlaws brick house built in 1950's with a slate roof has many of the exact the same ones in their yard. There was no house there before that and I've seen them on the roof also.
