Looking to meeting new people to go medal detecting with. Just got my ace 250 detector. P.S. DO i need a permit to go use my metal detector at elysian park in los angeles? Any good spots to find older coins?

Looks ok to hunt, these guys didn't say anything about permission.

Watch the videos...maybe you can get a clue on exactly where they are hunting in this park.
The good stuff looks like it might be pretty deep...set sense as high as you can, dig all signals including the iffy ones.

Hey that's me! I'm DanaPointMike...that was a great spot. Never had any hassles at Elysian. If I remember correctly the oldies were anywhere from 5" to 9". Lots of 7-8" coins. Wow, just saw how old this post is! Nice blast from the past.
